This tea comes from a world famous estate located in the Kurseong North Valley of Darjeeling. It is from one of the most highly esteemed Darjeeling gardens.
The Margaret's Hope estate was named in the 1930's when its British owner took his child, Margaret, to Darjeeling. She loved the estate and hoped to return some day. However, she died on the voyage home, prompting the father to rename Margaret's Hope in her honor.
Margaret's Hope Darjeeling has a rich and complex aroma and flavour with a bright, copper colour liquid. This tea has lovely muscat overtones, with a delicious astringency.
Margaret's Hope Darjeeling is an excellent afternoon tea. Why not try it with scones and clotted cream?
