Russian Caravan

Russian Caravan loose leaf tea tends to be made with light, bright flavoured tea to produce a delicate cup, lively, sprightly and with slightly toasty notes. A hint of Lapsang Souchong relives the heady days and mystery of the Royal Court of St. Petersburg.

Vodka is the drink we stereotypically associate with Russians, which is quite unfair as tea is consumed in large quantities. Quite often tea is thrown in a pot and allowed to steep and simmer all day. Tea in Russia goes back hundreds of years when it was carried along the Silk Road by great camel trains. The smoky nature of Russian Caravan gives the tea a little mystery and is supposed to have emanated from the wood fires used to keep the caravan drivers warm on the long journey. We now add a little Lapsang Souchong to create the past.

When you buy Russian Caravan from Coffee Cavern you can be assured that quality is our primary concern and you will be indulging in quality rarely seen on the high street.
