For those of you who have been to Egypt, you might have tried an infusion known locally as karkady. This is made from the dried, dark red flowers of the hibiscus plant. This infusion is packed with vitamin c and is considered to have many health benefits, including the ability to lower cholesterol. It is widely used as a tonic!

A deep red infusion simialar to grendine with a taste close to lemonade.
